An unusual aspect of Derwentwater, taken from the upper slopes close to Falcon Crag, and near one of the paths rising to Walla Crag. Skiddaw is the snow capped summit on the right, in the far distance Bassenthwaite Lake leads to the periphery of Lakeland, while on the left are the wooded slopes of Whinlatter.
