The view south west from Grisedale Pike with unusual cloud inversion conditions. At valley level and up to 1500 ft there is freezing fog, but above that the effect of the sun, even in winter, is relatively warm and the lack of a strong wind makes it quite pleasant. In the distance Grasmoor is visible and the shapely peak of Hobcarton Crag can be seen to the right. |  |
