Lakeland winters have been much milder these last few years but this scene shows the famous Langdale valley on a cold snowy day. Two of the Langdale Pikes are visible, with the shapely dominant Harrison Stickle overshadowing Loft Crag. In the distance is Bowfell with Crinkle Crags on the left skyline. |
