Our largest lake, Windermere, is the most well known, stretching from Newby Bridge in the south, to Waterhead in the north, with Bowness midway. Many boat trips are available between these places, offering fine views- this image sees the distant Langdale Pikes and the central fells where wonderful walking can be had by serious walkers. |  |
