“THE SEASONS” VIDEO – poetry by James Thomson (1700 – 1748) who was born in the Borders and wrote a book of the same name in the 1740’s. In blank verse, his excellent, descriptive-reflective-didactic poem was a revelation for the age and surely inspired Wordsworth.

Extracts have been chosen to complement the stunning scenery and wide ranging weather conditions found in the Lakes and associated countryside. The backing music has been specially composed and recorded by Mike’s brother, John Pearson, who has had much experience in the music industry and lives locally. Mike reads the poetry.

We are sure you will find the sound track eminently suitable, laying down an atmosphere to be in harmony with the mood of the words and images. There is a subtle interplay between sweeping layers of textures, haunting melodies and expressiveness. A powerful `”bombardment” of the senses. A music version, without poetry, will be produced before Christmas for those who prefer a narrative free video.
