VIVALDI - "THE FOUR SEASONS"
(42 mins approx)

"a journey through the lakeland year"

This was our first video production (1994). Locations are generally scattered throughout lakeland but naturally follow the seasons to match the music.

SPRING includes swans; snowdrops; grizedale sculptures; Derwentwater; spring flowers; Gosforth cross; Castlerigg stone circle; Ennerdale; sheep and lambs; & Wastwater.

SUMMER includes Buttermere; Martindale from Hallin Fell; Grasmere; Crummock Water; Ullswater; Aira Force; Windermere; Grasmere and Coniston Water all interspersed with various summer flowers, ducks, Grizedale sculptures and insects.

AUTUMN shows a lazy River Derwent, lively red squirrels, autumn trees and fungi and then fireworks by the lake. This is followed by various berries, fungi, and moonlight before morning mists clear to reveal Helvellyn, with Tarn Hows, Langdale Pikes & Windermere, woodland foliage and Ullswater being featured in a sublime section. Borrowdale agricultural show is depicted and the season rounded off with visits to Derwentwater, Newlands, Rydal Cave, Skiddaw and Castlerigg Stone Circle in evening mist.

WINTER shows lakeland in icy mood, with various animals and birds carefully intermingled with snow and ice at Rydal, Bassenthwaite, Thirlmere, Ashness Bridge, Borrowdale and Derwentwater, including sledging at Kirkstone and some snowy mountain tops.
